All you need is a towel to lower your blood pressure

Posted on January 2, 2023

More and more people are suffering from health problems, the most common of which is altered blood pressure.

You probably know someone who suffers from high blood pressure, right? Until you get it.

In a recent video we talked about some uncommon causes of high blood pressure, have you seen it?

On our channel, we also taught you how to do a simple exercise to see if your blood pressure is high, even without a monitor.

Have you seen it already? Click here to learn how to do this.

Blood pressure is nothing more than a pumping system, its function is to move blood through the heart and arteries while transporting this blood to the brain and other organs.

Normal blood pressure is 120/80. If your levels are different from this, you may have high blood pressure (hypertension), above 140/90, or hypotension (hypotension), with levels below 90/60.

Symptoms of high and low blood pressure vary.

Low blood pressure usually causes fainting, weakness, drowsiness, blurred vision, and a dry mouth.

High blood pressure causes double or blurred vision, ringing in the ears, heart palpitations, persistent headache, and pain in the back of the neck.

However, you don’t necessarily have to be hypertensive to have changes in your blood pressure.

For example, stressful situations can lead to high blood pressure, which puts you at risk of brain, heart and kidney disease.

For this reason, it is always a good idea to have some natural techniques to control your blood pressure and keep any serious complications at bay.

An easy technique you can do at home is the isometric overhand grip exercise. Super fast and easy!

Do you like the video? Then give it a like and share it with your friends to help the channel!

According to a study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, this hand grip exercise you will see is effective for lowering blood pressure in men and women of all ages.

For this workout, all you need is a small face towel and 10 minutes of your time. Fold the towel twice horizontally and once vertically, and then roll it into a cylinder.

Then, holding the towel in one hand, extend your arm to chest level. Avoid touching your thumb and fingers. Squeeze the towel and hold for two minutes, then rest for a minute.

Repeat the exercise three times on each hand, alternating between the right and left hand each time.

Remember not to hold your breath while doing this exercise or your blood pressure will go up, okay?

Do this exercise once a day, three times a week, to see the difference. This exercise works because you use your arm muscles to apply force to the towel with your hands, which reduces blood flow.

When you release your grip, blood instantly flows through the body, producing nitric oxide in the walls of blood vessels.

Nitric oxide is an essential molecule for our health as it acts as a vasodilator.

It helps relax blood vessels, allowing blood, nutrients, and oxygen to flow freely throughout the body, lowering blood pressure.

Besides, maintain a healthy diet, drink plenty of water, and do physical activities, such as simple walking.

Whenever possible, take this test and seek medical help to investigate any changes in your blood pressure.
